Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP)

What is Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP)?

CDP tests your postural stability, or the ability to maintain upright posture in multiple conditions within the environment. The ability to maintain an upright posture is dependent on sensory information from: the ears, eyes and the body's muscles/joints. The CDP tests are designed to isolate the function of these three sensory systems and how they function together given different tasks. This test is also utilized as a marker for progress during therapeutic treatment.

What Can I Expect During Testing?

During the testing you will be standing on a force plate, that may be stationary or move, while pressure guages record your body's movement to different tasks. Visual stimuli may move and change as well as the surface on which you stand. During the test you will be accompanied by a clinician to ensure your safety. Please wear comfortable clothes (thing gym attire) that allow for movement.
