Cerebral Palsy (CP) and How it Relates to Imbalance


CP is a neurologic disorder that inhibits the brain’s ability to coordinate movements of the body. CP is result of damage to the developing brain in utero, during birth or within the first few years of life. CP can lead to underdeveloped muscle tone, inhibited reflexes, abnormal posture and gait. This in turn can result in imbalance and leave patient at risk for falls.
