Dr. Taryn Shelton is the newest edition to the Great Hills ENT staff. Dr. Shelton serves as an audiologist for this clinic. She is a Texas state licensed doctor of audiology. She is also certified by American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (CCC-A). She received her doctorate of audiology from the University of Texas in Austin. Before this, she completed her Bachelors of Science at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas gaining her degree in speech, language, and hearing sciences. Dr. Shelton completed her residency at the Central Texas Veteran’s Affairs Healthcare System in Temple, Texas where she worked with veterans and their hearing and balance needs.
Dr. Shelton has experienced a wide-range of experiences throughout her previous clinical rotations in adults and pediatrics in a number of practice and hospital settings. At UT Austin, Dr. Shelton completed a research study assessing balance function in patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. When she is not working, you can find her outside around Lady Bird Lake or at a concert (with her custom hearing protection).
Dr. Shelton is excited to join the team at Great Hills ENT. Her goal is to help each patient with his or her own unique needs to find a solution that improves quality of life. Dr. Shelton sees both pediatric and adult patients daily by appointment.
